As an AWS Community Builder, I’ve had the privilege of participating in three AWS events across three different countries: the AWS Summit in Dubai, Community Day Lebanon, and Community Day UAE.
While AWS Summit was done in UAE and Community Day Lebanon was done in Beirut after the war stopped and ceasefire agreement had occurred, Community Day UAE was done remotely while the war was happening in my home country Lebanon
This blog post highlights the fact of doing 3 different AWS in different circumstances throughout the year.
🇦🇪 AWS Summit Dubai – Ship Fast, Scale Faster (May 2024)

Talk Title: Ship Fast, Scale Faster: Effortlessly Launch and Scale Your Future Startup with Serverless Technologies
Dubai was the perfect place to kick off this journey. The AWS Summit in Dubai brought together startups, enterprises, and cloud professionals from across the MENA region. I had the opportunity to speak about how serverless technologies can give startups a head start—allowing them to focus on building, not babysitting infrastructure.
Highlights:
• Showcased real-world use cases of AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway for lean MVPs. • Met with founders and builders eager to modernize their stacks and reduce operational overhead. • Recorded several podcast interviews with AWS partners like Cloudflare and Datadog, capturing insights straight from the expo floor.
This event reaffirmed Dubai’s position as a hub for innovation in the Middle East—and the growing demand for cloud-native solutions.
🇦🇪 AWS Community Day UAE – Architecting Multi-Tenant SaaS on AWS (October 2024)

Talk Title: Developing Multi-Tenant SaaS on AWS: Architecture Patterns, Isolation Models, and Scaling Strategies
This Community Day in the UAE had a very technical focus—and I loved it. I delivered a talk on designing and hosting multi-tenant SaaS applications on AWS, something I’ve worked on extensively and am deeply passionate about.
Highlights: • How to structure multi-tenant applications with isolation strategies (pooled vs siloed). • Using services like Amazon Cognito, API Gateway, and Lambda to handle authentication and routing. • Techniques for scaling and monitoring tenant workloads efficiently. • Cost optimization and resource sharing between tenants.
🇱🇧 AWS Community Day Lebanon – Introducing Tenant Deployments on AWS (December 2024)

There’s no better feeling than bringing knowledge back to your home country. At AWS Community Day Lebanon, I gave a beginner-friendly talk about tenant deployment models on AWS, a foundational concept for those curious about building SaaS applications.
Highlights: • What “multi-tenancy” means in the cloud. • Overview of tenant isolation models (siloed vs pooled). • How AWS services like Cognito, S3, and DynamoDB can be structured to support multiple tenants. • Practical steps for beginners to start experimenting with tenant-aware architecture.
Conclusion
While my main focus was in the MENA region, I will start expanding towards working in EU and US communities remotely as a starting point and help people around the world along with expanding my work helping people adopt AWS professionally in these countries if needed through my small newly established company that I am working on
